Subject: Are EEE students are eligible for job as IT office

Hi,
I am a btech in EEE(electrical and electronics engineering) with 15 month experience in a software company.
I would like to know if i am eligible to apply as IT Officer post(Scale 1 or 2) in bank as they have mentioned electronics as a branch of engineering but not electrical and electronics.
Also to mention we had subject of computer languages during the four year btech program.

As reported in Rediff.com, India leading portal, All public sector unit banks together, including State Bank of India, are planning to hire about 45,000 personnel during 2011 12 to meet their manpower requirement. SBI has plans to hire over 5,000 officers, the majority of who would be for its associate banks.

Also as reported by IndiaTimes, India's leading newspaper and media company, State Bank of India plans to hire 33,050 employees out of which, 5,400 are vacancies for officers and 25,900 for clerks and the rest for sub-staff.
